Stretched across a long flat hill site with 180 degree views from Sumner Bay to the Southern Alps, Sowerby has been designed to maximise the view from every space. The design also provides shelter from the prevailing winds and offers protection from overheating.

With a nod to the mid-century, an expansive eave overhangs and a clean vertical rhythm draws this elongated form across the narrow site taking in sea views over Pegasus Bay towards Kaikoura and the alps.
