Champion Terraces

With this project, we challenged the medium-density housing landscape. Our developer clients wanted an architectural response for their infill housing development and we delivered; the result is a sophisticated and stylish four-unit development that maximises the northwest facing outdoor areas.

We designed these townhouses as ‘terraces’; staggered forms that subtly announce a sense of address to each home when entering from the shared driveway. The staggered floor plans also allow for exterior privacy while avoiding a derivative rectangular block formation. The design also allows for high levels of privacy, solar gain and sound insulation.

Through clever design and the use of quality building materials, we were able to create economical low maintenance homes with a timeless aesthetic that blend seamlessly into their mixed density and historic gable-fronted building surroundings.
